Hi all

I am new and need to post in the monitor too bright thread. I need to post links to other postings in that thread, but I must post 5 times before I can add links to my post.

Anyway, I figured I would say hello and try to use up my first 5 post so I can get to my questions. Since I enjoy gaming more than anything else on my pc, I will start here.

Games I am currently playing;
FSX
FS9 (I can get FSX to look as good as 9 does with my older pc, hehe)
IL-2 FB-AEP-PF
LOMAC
Oblivion
FEAR
Age of Pirates Caribbean tales
Call of Duty 2

I have a few older games installed I play from time to time, but the ones above are getting the most use right now.

I also like race sims and normally play F1C with a few mods. I am looking for a red momo at a fair price to replace my old one that is well beyond its normal service life and no longer works.

    What are these games? I've never heard of them (seen the abbreviations).

    Oh and welcome to Short-Media!

    Hi, thank you for the welcome.

    Lock on Modern Air Combat. It is a modern jet combat sim. MiG_29, F-15, etc. A couple ground attack planes too. Quite good but has a few issues, nothing show stopping though.

    IL-2 series is a WW2 aerial flight sim. Many many planes to fly in it. Fighters and ground attack. FB stands for Forgotten Battles, AEP is for Ace Expansion Pack and PF is Pacific Fighters. FB and PF are 2 differnt programs, but can be installed together in a merged install. An excellent sim no matter how you put it together. There is a new add-on called IL-2 1946, but I haven't gotten it yet. I hear it too is very nice.

    You can find more info at the Ubisoft site.
