As most of you know the world is dubbing Crysis the Halo of Windows Vista as it will be the most complex game ever released to date. The game of course being the first DirextX 10 game will make use of more dynamic features than your eyes will ever see. But this brings me to an odd point. The game looks great and the demos are backing up all the talk, But how is the content? Is it going to be another Far Cry? or will they bring us into a bit deeper world of awesome gameplay?
I am also a bit worried the hype around this game is getting to be larger than the game itself. More reporters and sites are hailing the game as superB! rather than being just a great next gen game. Which I have seen several cases where the game was hyped, people loved it and well those games are no long even talked about... I just hope Crysis is going to be the game everyone says it will be, along with all the eye candy. And if your one of the lucky few that even owns a DX10 GPU, please give us some screenshots when the game is released

No its a vista exclusive (Even tho it crashed to a xp home desktop durring a e3 demonstration. Immediately after saying it will only run on vista.)
Anyways this game will just be graphics and hype like farcry.
Direct X 10 is a method of vendor locking to windows vista.
Typical MS Bull****
That is what really pisses me off about MS. I am perfectly happy with XP Pro and would prefer to stay with it, but when push comes to shove, MS is going to make me switch to Vista just so that I can play the latest games when XP can handle DX10 perfectly. XP was supposed to get DX10 and MS took it away.:shakehead
To be honest it would be like playing FEAR or Oblivion on low settings
Read the follow up story's
direct X 9L(Now known as Direct X 9 EX) is more of a compatibility layer that adds legacy direct X 9/8/7/6 support to vista. (Direct X 10 dropped all legacy code and forced it through software rendering)
