    The dog is yellow

edit:// i should also add that you can grab XDarwin - ie X11 for OSX, which with a little persuasion will run most linux type apps under X

NB: "a little persuasion" can turn into nights of !@#$!!@# why wont it install !!!!!

Linux works on any platform as long as there is a Distro for that arcitecture, i.e. - x86, Alpha, PPC, Spark, Motorola, MIPS, etc etc.

I had a G3 that I picked up on the cheap last year and I ran Yellow Dog on it for a bit - ran like a champ. The real headache is finding apps that will compile properly for the PowerPC. I eventually gave up on it for that reason.

Too late for that. Gave it away to a friend who had a greater need for it than I. ;)

Does Toys R Us still have the Dreamcast? I might buy one of those to put Linux on. :)

You can get used Dreamcasts from Gamestop for like $30.

I love my dreamcast! I play it all the time, what a fantastic system. And yes, they can run linux.
