[resolved]Getting Popups using Simplesearch as the search engine.....

I have been fighting this for about a week and now I have run out of ideas..any help would be appreciated.

This started out as being recognized as the Vundo trojan by McAfee. I have deleted all relevant .dlls and .exes I thought...I have uninstalled a few items from add remove software that looked weird.....The only issue i continue to have are these annoying pop ups. They happen after my 4-5th page search. They always contain stuff related to what I searched for. Sometimes the exact thing. I have even had eBay load in one of these pop ups. Here is my hijackthis log.....
Thanks in advance....

    Hello and welcome.

    Please disable Windows Defender Real Time Protection as it may interfere with the fix. To disable Windows Defender:
    * Open Windows Defender
    * Click Tools
    * Click General Settings
    * Scroll down to Real Time Protection Options
    * Uncheck Turn on Real Time Protection (recommended)
    * Close Windows Defender
    Once your log is clean you can re-enable Windows Defender Real Time Protection.

    Download and run SDFix
    Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.
    Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop.

    Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
    • Restart your computer
    • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
    • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
    • Choose your usual account.
    • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
    • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
    • Type Y to begin the script.
    • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
    • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
    • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
    • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
    • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log

    Hi. Your log is clean, but your Java is out of date so update it like this:

    "Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
    Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update to the latest version..."
    • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.0 from
      here
    • Scroll down to where it says "Windows Offline Installation"
    • Click the "Download" button to the right.
    • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
    • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.

    Zami you are awesome....thank you so much for all your time and help with this. I have been working with computers for over 10 years, but this one got the best of me. I think in the future I may do most of my downloading and surfing within a virtual environment. Is there a way I can make a donation for your time?

    Again Thank You Thank You!!!!!
