Just Got CNC TFD, But...
I purchased Command and Conquer The First Decade last night and so far ive only had 2 problems.
- Red Alert has those corrupted looking graphics the best way to describe it would be the texturing is not right, even on the opening video, ive played the game before on a different machine and it looked fine, but the textues are messed up i guess is the best way to describe it. ill post screens if needed.
- Red Alert 2 Lags when i click to build something it lags before it says building it lags, says it, then its normal again, until it finishes building then it lags, says building complete then its normal again.
The only thing i could think of would be that its spooling sounds off the DVD, my DVD drive is terrible, but if i play without the DVD, (which some of the games allow) it still lags, im getting the latest drivers, but i really dont see how that could matter on a game from 2000.
Here are my Systems specs
AMD Athlon™ XP 2800+ Processor (2.083GHz, 333MHz FSB, 512KB L2 cache)
Windows XP Home
Chipset: NVIDIA® nForce™ 2 chipset
Memory: 512MB DDR (PC2700)
Hard Drive: 80GB HDD
Optical Drives: 48x CD-RW drive 16x DVD drive
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce®4™ MX graphics
64MB DDR shared memory
Sound: nForce™ 6-channel audio
I really cant upgrade anything because this is the Family Computer and it has a massive warranty on it, but it can play pretty much everything ive thrown at it , Empire Earth2, CNC Generals, HomeWorld 2, Halo. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do all you other games run fine right now, or is it only RA2?
