computer randomly shuts down

We have been having a problem for about a month or so with the computer randomly shutting itself off it started happening more often in the last week. On my side of the computer it has only happened like three times but I was running way too many things. But on my moms side it happens a lot. She will play games in RealArcade and while she is playing she says it shuts down after ten minutes or so. Then when she restarts it will shut down almost immediatly. I am currently on her side of the computer and everything is really slow it took like 3 minutes to load IE. I have already ran spybot, ad-aware, and a virus scan is currently running at this moment. There were 158 items that ad-aware found, and only 4 in spybot. The virus scan has hasnt found anything yet. Here is my log.

The random shut downs sound like a Hardware problem, probably RAM? Before saying it a Hardware problem, lets rule out malware

You said your running an Anti-Virus scan - which one? I don't see any indication of an Anti-Virus or Firewall in your HijackThis log. That's the first thing we need to get.

Please download one of each from the list below - They are Free!

Next, your running HijackThis from inside the ZIP file. That's not a good idea. Follow the instructions below to download HijackThis to C:\Program Files.

Click here to download HJTsetup.exe. Save it to your Desktop!

• Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the "Select Addition Tasks" dialogue.
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
• At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
• Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
• Copy and paste the log here

Now, I need to see another log from HijackThis.

• Run Hijackthis.
• Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
• Next click on Open uninstall manager.
• Press the Save list button.
• Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
• Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your in your next post.

Please post the new HijackThis log, along with the Uninstall list.

I was using kaspersky as an anti virus scan, nothing came up there but I will try one of the ones you recommended along with a firewall and hijackthis. After I do that I will post my log again.
