Both DirectX 10 and Unified Shader model 4.0. will be supported with Intel's next generation chipset part.

According to an official Intel source the chipset is not just programmable, it is reprogrammable.
Intel claims that "Intel’s integrated graphics chipset is the first integrated re-programmable architecture designed with future implementations of DX10 and unified shader model (SM4.0) in mind."

Apparently the architecture is designed to support DX10 and it will be possible to create future DX10 products using this marchitecture. No dates are known as yet for the release of these chips.
