It is only a matter of time before AMD officially announces its latest products in the Athlon 64 X2 lineup. However it seems our friendly online e-tailer Newegg, has beat AMD to the punch.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is based on 90nm Windsor core and the clock is now finally set at 3GHz. We can safely conclude that AMD's plain vanilla cores are running at 3GHz, which was something AMD talked about and promised a long time ago.
