A few short months ago Nvidia was the first graphics firm to offer a DX10 GPU to the consumer market with their G80 line, which includes cards such as the 8800GTX and the 8800GTS. While Nvidia has released drivers for Windows XP 32bit and 64bit, they are still lacking non-BETA drivers for Microsoft's new soar away operating system Windows Vista.
Most early adopters were patient back in December when Nvidia postponed the official drivers, but now these same users 1 1/2 months later want a functioning official driver for Windows Vista, and they want it now. Nvidia is currently offering an option to join a newsletter here so you can get the latest up to date info on their Vista drivers.
AMD's "ATI" has been lacking the release of their DX10 hardware, but have had official drivers available to download for the last week.
