Boot Failure
My friend recently gave me his old system to reformat and reinstall windows. But there are several problems.
When the computer boots, it runs through all the connected hardware and normal CMOS screens, but then displays "Boot disc error, insert system disc." So i put in the Windows XP install disc and run through the fresh copy format option. When the computer restarts it still says system error and asks for the boot disc. I've switched harddrives to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. I reset the CMOS to fail safe settings and still the same error. Any ideas?
