Do not start a thread in this forum unless your problem is so severe as to make your computer virtually unusable or if your problem is extremely time-critical. Do not post Virus or Spyware problems here, we have a separate forum for that.
Please be considerate of those who have a genuine emergency and don't clog up this forum with relatively minor issues. We have plenty of other forums here at Short-Media where you will receive prompt and effective advice.
If your computer will not boot, experiences frequent spontaneous reboots or BSOD's, or if your problem is such that immediate help is necessary, feel free to post here. We will do our best to help you promptly. (Please remember that we are all volunteers here and that "promptly" may not mean "within the next ten minutes".)
Things such as occasional Internet troubles, no bass from your subwoofer, an error message when trying to play WoW, an inability to synch your iPod, or your cat eating your webcam, etc, are NOT emergencies. (Your cat may need emergency help, but we recommend that you call the vet - not start a thread here.) A suspected a virus problem probably does qualify, but we have a Spyware & Virus Removal forum where you will receive specialized help from volunteers trained in dealing with those particular types of problems.
If you do not truly have an emergency we cheerfully ask that you please post your problem in the forum appropriate for your particular problem.
