Hey guys, I seem to be having trouble saving a video file off of a website. I'm not sure what this one is being such a PITA. I have tried looking through my cache, using some of my nifty FF extensions, etc but to no success.

The link is: http://www.myvictoriaonline.com/2007/2/13/962661/Valentines-Day-Flowers

Its a clip of a news segment they did on my parent's flower shop. The guy in the thumb is my pops :D.

Anyways, he wanted a copy of the video but I couldn't grab it for some reason.

Any help or directions would be appreciated!

cheers :cool2:

I moved it for you, you shameless bum. :p

I can't remember the name of the program, but I know there are ways to record whatever is playing in a window or web page. Maybe some kind soul will come along and lend a hand. :)

    Thanks prof! :)

Ok, well I was able to grab a .wvx file (at least i think that is what it was) which seems to just be a redirect file to that actual video file or something?

This is what was in the wvx file
    [HTML]

Ok, I ripped it with a ghetto app called GetASFstream which after much googling I found on some foreign site here: http://urawa.cool.ne.jp/iwataka/gyao/gyao.html.

It worked well and grabbed the file. So if you ever need to grab a stupid streaming video file you might want to check it out.

    problem solved :D

    cheers
