Malware Sweeper?

My kids downloaded Limewire almost as soon as we got our computer last fall, and before I purchased a good anti-virus. I did uninstall it shortly after, but it left a bunch of crud and I just finally got tired of it and decided to fix the problems (ctrl+alt+del wouldn't bring up task mgr, limewire/gnutella trying to load itself, and so did svchost).

I ended up downloading the Malware Sweeper from MalwareSweeper dot com, and that didn't seem to work. So I just ran my regular antivirus in safe mode and it got everything. BUT this morning, I checked the CPU usage and it was 100% and the Malware Sweeper was the culprit. What's up with that? I did end it, but should I get rid of it?

Yes, remove it. I've never heard of it and cannot get much info on it.

Thanks. I just went to remove it, and this came up as a shared program no longer in use:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32 filename is systray.ocx

    Should I remove it, too?

Yes, I think you can. That file allows Malware Sweeper to put an icon in the system tray (by the clock).
