Comp. keeps restarting - safe mode doesn't help

edited February 2007 in Hardware
Hi

Maybe you can save me.

My computer keeps restarting, as soon as I get to desktop (after windows starts) - sometimes even sooner. (I suspect it has to do with AC power problem - It was shut during the shut down process, without completing it).

When I try to start it on safemode, it doesn't work, and I get a series of error messages (I can't keep track of, because it's too long).

Any ideas anyone?

Write down as much of the error message as you can and post it here. Even a hint may prove helpful. :)

    thanks, prof. :)
    It is mainly:
    Multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\*.sys
    Multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\*.sys

(instead of * there is an endless list of file names). The good news are that if I wait long enough, windows does work at safe mode (XP pro, b.t.w).
