PCIe 2.0 behind closed doors

It is not too often we see new graphics card slots built onto motherboards, or even upgraded slots, but this time around the word is getting out on the PCIe 2.0 slot . The Demo in California included an unknown Intel chipset and an unknown Nvidia graphics card, and pretty much showed the world PCIe 2.0 is in the works. The new technology brings us 16 lanes of 5.0Gbps, which is a staggering 80Gbps. I am wondering who will be the first vendor to use all that pipe-age.

Maybe this would be a good manuvering point for AMD/ATI? I'd definitely like to see some life out of them soon .
