Help with installing VBScript/Windows Installer for Vista

edited March 2007 in Science & Tech
I have Vista X64

I recently install itunes and quicktime. Now I want to remove them but it won't let me in control panel. So I manually deleted the folders in program files and did a search for the keywords in regedit and deleted every single reference.

No If I try to run the installer it says:
attachment.php?attachmentid=22751&d=1173170420

And I heard on Apple forums people suggesting to use "Windows Installer Cleanup" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301so I downloaded it but when I tried to run it:
attachment.php?attachmentid=22750&d=1173170420

So now I can't use itunes/quicktime/and who knows what else requiring windows installer.

I tried to find something to reinstall Windows Installer or the VBscript/.Net but it's all for XP and below, and doesn't work on vista.

Can anyone help?

Are you able to do a system restore back to before you tried deleting/installing the itunes/quicktime. Or is that damaged too?
