Alright with the selling of my laptop most of the proceeds will go to my childs room redesign, BUT i am going to get another gig of ram gor my system.

Right now i have Gskill ddr2 800 in 2 512 sticks

I wanna buy another gig , I have 4 slots on my mother board so i can get the same exact ones BUT i didnt know if it would be worth buying a single stick so if i ever switch to a newer socket AM2 board that had 3 slots id be fine.

whats ur guys thoughts?

Will your board support Dual channel with 4 chips? Also what socket is your current board? if it is AMD and it is not AM2 already, your going to have to get new ram anyways, AM2 is DDR2 :)
