Stupid Freaking Noise

Ok, I'm not sure if this is spyware, or what. But every so often, (appears to be a random time) some stupid ass sound clip plays. Its not always the same one. I can't figure out whats playing either.

All I know is that it started recently and its driving me plain batty. The only recent program I installed is AIM 6, but I don't think it would do it. I've run spyware checks and they all come up clean. There has to be something though. This is twice as annoying as any other virus or malware. Because random outbursts of some stupid guitar riff is working on my last nerve.

    I already bathed it in holy water. But for some reason that didn't seem to help:bigggrin:

    I'm going to track this down and if I find out what has given my computer musical tourettes syndrome I'm gonna raise some caine.

    Just a thought. IM programs are notorious for installing their own sound scheme events. You might go into Control Panel, Sounds and listen to each event til you find it and can disable it as in selecting: "none." GL!
