Hey im running sabayon linux on my inspiron E1705 and using beryl, the window manager or whatever its considered. How do you actually change the theme using emerald theme manager? Are you supposed to import them in the actual control center of sabayon or what? I'm not very familiar with linux so I'd appreciate your help. thanks

i also forgot to mention that on every window, the close, minimize and maximize buttons are gone. I dont know why, or whats wrong, but it makes everying 10x more annoying.

I don't use Beryl so I can't competently answer your first question. As for the second, Gentoo's Beryl Wiki recommends:
If you have problems with window decorations not appearing, click beryl icon in the system tray, go to advanced beryl options -> rendering path and select "copy".

thanks for the advice, but it randomly decided to start working again. And now my second question for anyone with beryl experience, how do you change the background of the cube area when its zoomed out. I think its called the skydome or something.

Ive played with the live DVD a bit but not too much...

I'm just installing Edgy Eft (Ubuntu 6.10) and am going to attempt the glorious and wonderful XGL / Beryl / ATI installation...

I'll look into the cube background once it's up and running (with luck) :)

And if that wont work I might try an install of Sabayon as I have the live DVD here...

    Much Fun!
