Stupid question: How do you lock the icon's position?
On my Win XP desktop, I have the icons arranged in a certin way.
The problem is: Every time I change the resolution (say, for a game) and change back, all the icons move. :banghead:
I know there must be some way to lock the icon's position on the desktop. Could someone please tell me what I'm missing here?

/me goes and tries...
EDIT: Nope. :bawling:
Shutting down folding for the duration of the game solved it.

That makes no sense. How could F@H have anything to do with icons?
When I get back from school I'll look into 3rd party apps that lock icon positions.
I mean something has to, if everyone with arranged icons is having this problem....
Gobbles
I'll keep looking...
Sorry SmJ, it wasn't explained very clearly.
What was happening was that if I had Folding running when I loaded up bf1942, bf1942 would keep minimizing to the taskbar. When I maximized it it would be ok again (maybe sometimes minimize once or twice more).
Then, when I selected a map to play on and it started loading, the game would again minimize. I maximize, it minimizes, I max... etc etc. Basically I wouldn't be able to get into the game itself.
Then, after doing this about 7 or 8 times, bf1942 would abruptly shut itself down (with no warning/error), and the icons would move as described by you earlier.
I narrowed it down to folding, and think that because bf1942 is a big game requiring much processing power, and Folding is heavy on the PC, my system just couldn't cope and bf1942 would be shut down????
All I know is that without folding running, bf1942 runs fine. My post was more in response to prime's post than to yours - sorry!!
//edit - Oh, and prime, I haven't a clue why the game would do that then
