i knwo they make software to import music to an ipod with out using itunes.

since I've always used itunes, theres never been a need for me to look for another program. but i dont really feel like using it anymore. so does anyone have any suggestions as far as programs to transfer music to an ipod with out itunes, oh also Id like it to be able to transfer from any PC, not just the one it "registers" to

Are you serious;D Armo is not a pirate.

Armo, there are some programs that do this, though I think there is a way to just make it show up as a removable hard disk. As far as moving the music, afaik the only music that you are going to be able to move around without 'registering' is mp3 or any unprotected format that the ipod supports. As for aac or whatever apple uses, you will be able to copy the files, but not play them.

    wow...no...not serious.

I hate the iTunes lockdown (and most things Apple for that matter)

I think the average person should be able to use any player with any software with any music, without having to break terms of service or jump thru hoops.

yours is cute? mines a turd =\

about to try Foo Pod, but i completly agree with you mason, i should be able to use what ever program i want. and more so, becuase its not agaisnt the law to make backups of my games and programs, i think manufactures and dev's should provide you with a method of making backups.

Well, honestly it looks kinda like a bar of soap, but it makes for a mean pocket pc/phone/media player/camera and helps feed my internet addiction.
