'Windows for iPod' delayed
Microsoft's 'Windows for iPods' operating system seems to be taking a bit longer to ship than expected. It is un-certain what the delay is, but it could be simply a result of the software giants coding schedule or more possibly because licensees, want more time to design hardware and debug products before shipping them. Either way the delay seems to have had no effect on recent indications that PDA type devices are on their way out, as it seems even more imminent that devices more like smartphones and of course the iPods, will soon rule the roost in the portable computing market. However of course, only time will tell.

With my calendar and contacts sync'd onto my iPod, do I need to carry my Palm too? It's certainly easier to drop PIM data onto an iPod than carry enough memory cards to make the PDA a worthwhile music centre.
