can anyone help me to get rid of this virus
keeps coming back after avg antivirus says its healed it

    * Click here to download HJTsetup.exe
    • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
    • Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
    • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
    • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
    • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
    • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
    • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
    • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

    Please Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below...

    • First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
    • Double click NoLop.exe to run it
    • Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"

    • <<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
    • When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
    • Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
    • A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with a fresh HijackThis log
    --If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program. --

    Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

    Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis. Reboot into safe mode.

    Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.


    Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these folders (if present):

     C:\Documents and Settings\Dingle\Application Data\Else Plus
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sign Setup Wma Mapi

    thanks for the help on this here is the second log after deleting the 2 folders in safe mode from what i can see it does not seem to have reappered

    lets make sure nothing is hiding

    Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
    • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
    • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
    • Enter your Country
    • Enter your State/Province
    • Enter your e-mail address and click send
    • Select either Home User or Company
    • Click the big Scan Now button
    • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
    • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
    • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
    • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report

    Looks like false positives but lets just double check on them


    • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
    • Copy and paste the following file path C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\setup files\New Folder\Setup.exe
    • into the box on the top of the page:

    • Click on the submit button
      do the same for these 2
      C:\Program Files\Avant Browser\ASVC.EXE
      C:\Documents and Settings\Dingle\My Documents\Set Up\ABSETUP.EXE
