Using Spyware Dr with antivirus
Hi Guys,
Firstly, you guy were fantastic with me last year when you saved my machine and provided me with an education on IT. You have piqued my interest in IT. I visit this site often now and applaud all the tireless workers that have saved so many people's butts when it comes to bugged up machines.
My issue now is simple. I've read that the future of anti virus/spyware/malware programs is that the best programs will be integrated. That is; one program that handles both the anti virus function and spyware function. I have spyware doctor with the antivirus. Should I now ditch the AVG antivirus? I've read things can get slow if I'm running both.
Since Skywalker45 ironed me out last year and got me up to speed with antvirus/anti spyware/anti malware programs, I've not had an issue. I took all his advice. Now I'm just wondering if I can use spyware doctor with anti virus to handle that side, or do I still need an AVG running too? I'm using Spybot, Spyware Dr, Windows Defender. And finally, do you think that in addition, S&D will help futher. Is S&D a good way to manage the programs that launch on start up?
Thanks for your time.
Phillip
