Windows XP USB 1/2 Update Patch (KB826959)

edited October 2003 in Science & Tech
A new hotfix has been kindly made available by the guys over at Warp2Search, which as yet, isn't directly available from Microsoft. The new patch is said to fix certain USB issues under Windows XP. If you are experiencing any of the problems listed in the below linked to knowledge base article, then I suggest you download the patch.

[blockquote][The patch] fixes an issue where the computer may lock up when trying to bring it out of standby or out of hibernation with external USB devices attached. This has been reproduced on both IDE and SATA drive systems. This problem may not occur until after you install the Windows XP SP1 USB 1.1 and 2.0 Update (822603). [/blockquote]
