More help needed plz - Tracking Cookies

Just recently OldGuy2 did a fabulous job of clearing out a whole pile of viruses, spyware, etc.

I am still getting Tracking Cookies appearing when I run an AVG system scan. Is there anyway of keeping these out? How do they get in? I notice they slow down IE.

Here's my latest scan:

Hi narcheska. According to CA tracking cookie is any cookie that is shared among two or more web pages for the purpose of tracking a user's surfing history. (source) But cookies are not bad in itself. You can use ATF Cleaner by Atribune to clean cookies and if you want to prevent them, I recommend to get Firefox and CookieSafe extension. Please note that some sites need cookies to work properly. CookieSafe allow you choose to enable cookies in certain sites. I hope this help. :)

What a great suggestion. Thank you!

I've installed cookiesafe and no more medium risk cookies seem to be appearing when I run a scan.

    Thanks for your help :)
