When I try to use iTunes, the payback is real choppy. Windows media Player works fine though. Any idea how to fix this? I've already tried to uninstall/reinstall and the same thing is happening......

Try updating sound drivers. Do you have several sound units (Headphones/speakers)?

yeah, I have a bunch of stuff hooked up as I do some home recording. The drivers all seem up to date though, and if it was a driver thing them WMP wouldn't work either right?

Do all your devices sound choppy? Might be some settings. I remember having similar problems a while back, WMP worked fine, but another program (WINRip, I believe) sounded all choppy. I found no other solution but to buy a new soundcard, and that solved it. Hopefully, your problem is not as serious.

Everything else seems to working fine. I use ProTools and have a small mixer that i've been using as my main soundcard.

Is it possible for you to try another sound card?
