LOTR: BFME 2 problems!

edited April 2007 in Gaming
Okay, so iv'e tried everything I can possibly think of and im stumped. I installed the game just fine and was going to play it. So it loaded the first tutorial and I was playing for about 1 min. when it froze (with looping sound) and the screen went black and my computer restarted. It does this only when playing the actual game (main menu can be on for hours). I dont know whats goin on. (thinking may be power supply, anyway to tweak that?)

HELP!

system,
GeForce 6200 256 mb card
1 gig ram
all drivers up to date as possible
version up to date
tried all "support" guide solutions, all fail
THANKS!!!

During installation, on occasion some files that contain graphics for the background, maps, players etc. may not be installed, or copied to the hard drive from the CD rom correctly. You might need to completely uninstall the game try reinstalling it.
Also, have you got the latest version of DirectX?

Okay, so I tried re-instsalling it but no luck. It seems like about every 30-40 seconds into the game it freezes up and crashes. No matter what map ect. all the time. I really dont know whats wrong cause everythings all updated and my system meets the requirments.

Have you tried updating your game with the latest patch?

Yes. I went on the website and got it all updated. Im clueless as to whats goin on. Im starting to think it may be a power supply issue, but no other game (hl2, F.E.A.R., FarCry) does this.
