Can't change date on DFI AD77 Infinity

SO, for some reason, the BIOS clock seems to be stuck in the year 2002. I can change the date, time, and any other parameter in the BIOS, and it will stick. But if I change the year to 2003, it slides back to 2002 after I reboot.

Any suggestions? I am going to look for a BIOS update, but I don't have a floppy on the system, so I would need a bootable CD image to boot up on and flash the BIOS.

This is what has been farking up my folding. My first WU got dropped because I changed the date in Windows from 2002 to 2003, so it thought the deadline passed for the WU, dropped it, and started another :(

TIA.

Well, what a pain in the arse that was....:grumble::grumble:

I made a Bootable CD rom (without a floppy installed, it's a little trickier), included my BIOS flash on the CD, and ran the flash. And now, I can change the date out of 2003 :) So all good now, and I shouldn't lose another WU.

    Cheers,

Odd that the BIOS wouldn't allow date changes. It did for me. Sometimes a reflash "clears the digital throat".

Shoulda just ripped out the floppy off the other system and plugged it in temporarily. :) But the good news is you now know how to make a bootable CD image.

Ya, I don't know what that was all about. And it was 1:30 in the AM, so I didn't feel like breaking out the screwdrivers ;)

I knew how to mke a bootable CD, just a little more arse-pain when you can't just point Nero to a bootable floppy to emulate.

But, she's all good, and folding happily now too. Thanks for the good deal on the mobo MediaMan (if anyone is looking for good used parts, talk to MM, he often has some good stuff!)
