Need a very reliable text scanner.
I need a text scanner (sheetfeed). Normally doesn't need to handle more than 5 sheets at the time, but let's say 10 just for that rare occasion. It's to scan in B&W or grayscale. anything over 300 DPI is overkill.
I've tried the cheap $250-300 machines. HP, Canon. They jam, or the scanning freezes and the only way to get it working again is to reboot. Big pain, especially when having to reboot 5 or 6 times in a day because the scanner and/or software craps out.
150 pages per day--if that high--would probably be the max scanned, with the average probably falling in the 30's.
Any recommendations? Will I just not find such a scanner period, or would I have to go into the $1,000 range or higher?
