A member of our forum today reported he has found a glitch in XBox Live. It allows users to download Halo 2 maps (which cost $4) for free. Rather than making the knowledge public, he promptly notified Microsoft via e-mail. This was the response:

"Hello Trevor,

Thank you for writing Xbox Customer Support!

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. It sounds like this has been a very frustrating experience for you. I understand that you found a bug that enables you to somehow download HALO 2 maps for free. After careful review of your issue with regards to your concern, we have determined that it is best that you call the Xbox Customer Support number for better assistance. Thank you for your time and understanding.

For further assistance, please don't hesitate to write back or call Xbox Phone Support at your earliest convenience, and we will be happy to help you. [...]

Sincerely,
Arnold
Xbox Customer Care Team"

After additional e-mails to Microsoft and Bungie, he received nothing but another generic reply from Microsoft. So, next time you find a game exploit that lets you circumvent their controls, be sure to communicate your very frustrating experience via their hotline or you'll be stuck getting free stuff forever.
