Hi I have had this problem before.
But for the life of me cant remeber what to do.
I have baby brain. (toddler) :dunce:

C-Media AC 97 Audio Device has a yellow !

When this happened before I had to somewhat go back to the original settings?
Is there an easy option for me to fix this?
Please any suggestions as the teens want to listen to their music

Good to hear you resolved this matter. But, in general, for you and others who might run into this issue, do not rely on Windows Update for any hardware driver updates, especially sound related. It seems quite common for Windows Update to actually "knock out" or disable sound rather than update it. Been there; done that. Rely on Windows Update for Microsoft products only.

Agree. Go straight to the source when it comes to drivers, get them from the manufacturer. I'm sure it would be nice for people who don't know what hardware they have, but windows suck at this point.

I've had some problems with Windows Updates knocking out drivers. The biggest culprit I've had to deal with was video drivers. It's lots of fun having Windows Update change your video drivers and then restart the computer to have an 8-bit 640x480 desktop staring you in the face, especially when you're used to 32-bit 1280x960. Easy to fix if you just roll back the drivers, you just have to hope the window's not too big to fit in such a small resolution.
