Frustrations w/ Firefox and Window Resizing!

Okay so here's the deal. Whenever I launch Firefox it opens the new Firefox window opens at half the screen size. So I did alittle research on Google like any good computer user would, and found out with IE that you can hold Ctrl and then click the close button and it will 'save' the window size you have. Well I hoped it would work with Firefox and it didn't. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea how to get this fixed? It's really annoying me and I'd like to be able to open Firefox with it taking up the entire screen not half.

I went into the Properties for the shortcut and told it to always run Maximized.

I don't know if there is a "better" way or not.

There is a registry location for IE I used to chance when it got resized. Not sure if there is one for Firefox.
Edit: I dont see anything at a quick glance in my registry like the one for IE.
