Triple Monitor Setup

edited April 2007 in Hardware
I'm about to upgrade from my 20" CRT monitor to an LCD display. I have about $700.00 to spend. I am contemplating a couple different setups:

(Prices include shipping)

1. A single Samsung 244t-BK 24" display @ $699.13
( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16824001222 )

2. Two Samsung 204B-BK 20.1" displays @ $622.86
( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254023 )

3. Two Chimei 221D-NBC 22" displays @ $617.93
( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824252008 )

4. Three Hanns-g hw-191APB 19" displays @ $518.91
( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254006 )

I have a question about the triple monitor setup. I have a Radeon x1900 XTX video card with two dvi outputs.

Can I use a dvi y adapter cable such as this to drive 3 monitors: http://www.alancomputech.com/j9256.html or will I need to add another video card?

Will the y adapter just clone the image on the second display or will it be able to drive a completely seperate image?

If I decided to add another video card and go the crossfire route I would need to buy the "crossfire edition"/master card. I can't seem to find any crossfire version X1900 cards anymore. Will a X1950 master card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161038) work with my current x1900 in a crossfire setup?

Thanks,
Greg
