Win32/Vundo.k

I'm not sure how any of this came about, but I now have this nasty little vermin killing my sanity with it's pop-ups and other annoyances. I was wondering if, being that I'm not very well versed in deleting this thing, someone wouldn't mind giving me some instruction or guidance on where to begin to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) :sad2:

I've done an HJT scan and i have a log for it if that'll help....

    Hi Edo :D

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Thanks for the info muuli. I found the VundoFix last night before you posted it in this thread and I ran it. It found some Vundo infections which it deleted. It also found a Trojan.BHO.AR, but it couldn't delete that one. So I deleted it in safe mode and ran the scan again. Here's the log for that scan...
