WMV Conversion on Vista...

Hey all,
On XP I would use Eright's SUPER to convert my files to divx. however this does not seem to function properly on Vista...
I've tried a number of other options - free and trialware, none seem to do a good job - the only one that works well is 'Kate's Video Converter' but you can only do 1 file at a time - not a batch - a bit of a pain.
If I set up virtual pc 2007 and installed xp on it would that be a decent way to use xp software - or would it be very slow and lame on an instance of vm?
