Apple patches OSX v10.3 exclusively
Apple have recently released an update patch for their OSX operating system, but only for v10.3. This means that the MAC maker has decided not fo fix any of the earlier versions of its operating systems, which forces users of the company's older OS's to pay a hefty sum to upgrade their software, at least if they want to stay secure.
So even though Windows may have more security flaws, at least ITS users get their updates for free.
[blockquote]"It is not a friendly thing to tell your customers to shell out a lot of money to stay secure," said Thor Larholm, senior researcher for software security firm PivX Solutions. "It would be a dangerous precedent, if they did."
