Hey, just wondering, is there any free software that can combine 2 avi files together? For example I have The Godfather Part 1 in 2 parts and would like to just have it in 1.
I've done this with VirtualDub before. Open one of the files, select it all and choose copy. Open the other file, move the cursor position to the beginning or end depending on where the copied video fits in, then paste it. Export the video and there you go.
I haven't used the software in a while, and I can't test it now, but can you open up both files at the same time? If you can leave them both open at once, that may help.
Yarr! I be doin' this work from, arrr, VirtualDubMod and it be easy.
All ye must do is open ye video file, and sail to the end o' it. When ye be at the end of da file, ye go to file -> "Append segment." Once ye done that, go to VIDEO -> DIRECT STREAM COPY then be hittin' save as.
Arrrr! NO QUARTER.

select all,
copy,
then open the first part of the file,
move cursor to the end and paste... but it just pastes Part 1 which I haven't copied.
i.e I'm left with Part 1 followed by Part 1.
Have you ever encountered that annoying problem? Thanks for the help by the way. VirtualDub looks like the answer.
