i didnt think intel had a true quad core ready yet

    The motherboard you linked can use today's <i>Kentsfield</i>, which is two Core 2 Duos in a single CPU, or tomorrow's <i>Penryn</i>-based chips, which is a 45nm native quad core part.

    is that for both of those motherboards that i linked up there?

    and for terminology's sake
    core 2 quad is the kentsfield and quard core is the penryn?

    these are all so confusing ^____^;;;
    i miss the days of pentium 2, 3, 4.......

    The P5N-E for sure, the P5N32-SLI, probably.

    Yes, you are right about the terminology. The Penryn is as-yet unnamed.
