Vista - anti-virus - Kaspersky?

I've researched the whole idea of an anti-virus suite for Vista...
Here's my current situation - please tell me what you think, if I have missed something, etc
Hence why my plan is to try kaspersky then decide between that and PC Cillin. (Price is virtually the same - 25 quid or so)

- Norton/Symantic/McCafee - bloated resource hogs I dont even want to touch.
- Avast/AVG - debatable security record
- Zone Alarm - only a beta is available for vista
- F-Secure - supposed to be a bit lacking from what I've read
- PC Cillin - Impressed - Im using a demo now and I've used it at work for a year or 2.
- Kaspersky - Have NOT tried - will install when PC Cillin demo runs out in a week. (supposed to be excelent)
- NOD32 - wtf - seen people taking on forums but I'm sceptical towards it.
- Windows Live One-Care - just sounds s*it to be honest
Hence why my plan is to try kaspersky then decide between that and PC Cillin. (Price is virtually the same - 25 quid or so)

Well thats 2 replies from 2 people's opinions that I have always regarded highly
Ill install it when PC Cillin runs out in around a week or so and see what I think.
Thanks
Reviews have been good, it's a different animal to the norton of a few years ago.
I am the world's biggest Norton basher, but I have to admit, 07 has been more configurable.
I use AVG on my Vista. Are there reasons to believe it should be tighter?
As regards security - there was some test of anti virus programs I saw a few weeks back - Avast! one solution I was considering scored pretty low on detection and removal - avg also did not score the highest.
PC Cillin, Kaspersky, Norton, Zone Alarm etc all scored virtually the same - so you kinda know its more to do with the interface and resource footprint.
I hear ya on Norton, but I'm still not keen lol
Choice was easy to make hence my return to norton after a few years of sabattical:) .
