Exchange Server & Blackberry Issue... any ideas?

edited May 2007 in Science & Tech
Hello,

This is my first post here; Hello everyone :)
I am having an issue with Exchanger Server 2003, it is running on Windows Server 2003 Small Business Edition. One of the users owns a Blackberry and wants it to synch with his exchanger server account wirelessly, but heres the thing... exchange server is deleting the email off the server so his blackberry cant recieve the email... ive looked and cannot find an option to stop if from doing that... The only idea ive come up with is to get his computer (that recieves the mail from the exchange server) to forward the email to his blackberry device... but he would have to leave his computer on all the time... is there any other way around this?

Thank You

Hi and welcome to Short-Media forums :)

How many BlackBerry users do you have?

Is your user using the internet based BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)?

Do you have Outlook Web Access running?

If you are unsure on these things, I can explain each in more detail for you to help. There is another optiion but shall wait until I have some answers back :)

edit: Deleted the account and recreated it its working great now.

Now we just need to configure it if we encounter any issues we will post.

    Ok having another issue

The user is not yet known to the BlackBerry Agent.

It can take several minutes for a newly added user to be fully
initialized by the server before they can be provisioned. (16)

edit: Also what do I do with ETP.DAT.

    It arrived via email.
