Importing Music from iPod to PC

edited May 2007 in Science & Tech
Hello

I happen to have tons of music in my 30 iPod, i'd like to know how can I get this music copied to my hard drive in my computer. In other words, i'd like to have the music in my iPod copied to my iTunes library.

You would think well, if you have the music in the ipod obviously you transferred it from the iTunes to the iPod, therefore it must be in the iTunes already. But no, the music I have in the iPod was copied from a computer I no longer have access to and I wouldn't wanna loose the music I copied in my iPod.

Please help me.

One way to do it, is if you have a fresh library with nothing in it:

Enable disk usage on the iPod.
Enable viewing of hidden files and folders in Windows.
In iTunes, add the ipod_control/music folder to the library
If you don't have itunes set to automatically copy music to your music folder, click consolidate library.

    You're done.
