Any Software to Hide IP Address?

Hi All , Just wondering anyone using some softwares to hide the ip address while browsing internet . If anyone knows can you just tell me what sw and how to configure that :confused: . I am not sure i can ask this questions here . if this is not a valid question please remove this thread! . thanks in advance .

    What are you hiding from? I dont see what good can come from this.

    Well you need an IP address any way it goes, but you can use a proxy type setup which will basically give the IP address of what your routing through. But.... generally when people want something like this outside of a business situation for security I question the motive.

    i mean the personal security of the web user can achive by hiding/masking the ip address. i heard about dynamic ip's proxies etc . i am not sure how this are related . I heard about this from one of my friend not sure how valid it is . again if this not valid question pls remove the thread!

    Even with a proxy you need a good firewall/AV for protection... with that said you don't need a proxy at that point.

    I am using Zonal Alarm firewall and i have a avast AV sw too . could you tell me what is a proxy and this firewall and AV shield from masking the ip address ? thanks

    i had gone thru the link provided and i saw this
