Pentium-M socket 479 question.

Sally has a DFI mobo 855GME-MGF which has a socket 479 1.3 celeron.

Checking info on a faster, suitable Pentium-M, has me somewhat confused. Looking at this list there are several identical procs, yet 1 = 478 & 1 = 479 pins.
Anyone have any experience with these??

I haven't had any experience with the mentioned procs., but when I googled your mobo some interesting reviews surfaced, one mentioned ocing using a 2 gig "Dothan" (iirc)

Muddocktor and Mirage have results posted in the OC database, hopefully one of them could chime in.

Thanks for the reply, Donut. Might have to go further afield with this one. It is a beaut little mobo and deserves more than a 1.3 celeron. Every time i find a link to a shop somewhere, it is confusing what it is in regard to the pins. (478/479).
We want it to work it harder & fold more.:)

I understand that part Marc, but not the 478 pin in the 479 series Dothan, or Banias before that. Like the Pentium-m 765 Dothan 479. One shows socket 478, one shows socket 479. That is the confusing part.
Might have to look for a Notebook/Laptop forum for that one, me thinks.
