Something wrong with E-mail.

Hey. Feel free to move this topic if it fits better somwhere else:) Now, to my problem: I can't open my mails in hotmail. I can access my mail account, either through MSN or browser. I can open the inbox, but this is where my problems begin. I cannot open a single e-mail. I cannot delete emails. I can not send e-mails. Any attempt to do any of these things will result in me ending up at the login screen, where i have to enter e-mailadress and password. Logging in again doesn't help.

My specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2800.
Abit AN7
ATI Radeon 9800 PRO
Windows XP Home.

Latest version of MSN Live Messenger.
Internet Explorer 7

If you need more info please let me know.

Try it in firefox or opera just to see if it's a browser issue.

I downloaded and installed Firefox, and the problem is still there. When I first started it, it promted me to import settings from IE, but I chose not to, in case a settin was the problem.

If the problem appears in completely separate browsers, I would contact hotmail support. Sounds like a server problem

I may have found the problem. I saw somewhere on the page that MSN Hotmail was changing to Windows Live hotmail. When I pressed something like "Change to Live hotmail now" (or something, don't remember too good) The appearance of the inbox and everything changed, and I could open my mails again. Just a heads up for you Hotmail users who haven't changed yet.

Ah nice. Glad I found this post. I had a customer call me last week that was having problems with their Hotmail e-mail. They never brought their machine in, so maybe it was the same fix.

One other note about hotmail. You can no longer access it through outlook or outlook express unless you have upgraded to their premium service.
