I think it's safe to make two assumptions:

    1) It will be a nice computer

    2) It will Fold!

    Any details?

Well, just give me a few more weeks and I hope to get a 2-3GHz (or more) of Athlon power to my fold and possibly a few GHz of p3 power to my fold too. :)

I see the speed of the CPU is undetermined, but do you have a ballpark?

Also, what all do you have folding, BDR? You put out some serious pointage!

    Folding right now-

    AMD 2100 tbred
    Abit NF7S v1
    512 hyperX ddr pc2700

    AMD 2500 Barton
    Asus A7n8x v2
    512 hyperx pc2700

    AMD 2100 tbred
    Epox 8RGA+ v1
    512 micron pc2700

    AMD 1700 tbred
    MSI KT3V v1
    256 ddr pc2700

    AMD 1600 Pali
    ECS K7S5A v1
    256 ddr pc2700

    AMD 2100 tbred
    Biostar M7VIK KM400-8237
    256 ddr pc2100

    Dell p4 1.4
    512 sdram

My sister's AMD 1800 Pali running F@H part time

Ballpark for the cpu- anywhere from 2100 tbred to a 2800 tbred.
Maybe a Barton? The money I have when I get ready to order will be the deciding factor. ;)

Humm, the smell of cooking meat.
Either it is a pre-game cook out, or BDR has added another box and is roasting some folders......

And I keep working on boxes just trying to hold my ground.

as long as it's not the smell of a cpu burning... ;)

The hardware should be here later this week.

not trying to steal your thunder, but who wants to help me setup 2 F@H's on my new 3.2c?

-> Make sure HT technology is enabled in the BIOS.
    -> Make 2 directories (I call them CPU1 & CPU2)
-> Download the latest F@H Client and put a copy in each of those folders.
-> Setup each client with the same information, except MACHINE ID which should be set to 1 for CPU1 & 2 for CPU2.
-> Create a couple of short-cuts to the console in each folder and use the -advmethods flag to get P4-friendly Gromac WU's.

That's it :) Run both clients and you'll see 50/50% CPU utilization on each. :)

Here's a picture of how I have things setup on my P4 HT rig.
