9700 Pro (AIW) overclocking guides??

I'm getting a 17" LCD soon, and because of this (and my necessity to run at least 4X AA with some AF), I may need to overclock my video card in order to run decent frames at 1280x1024.

I'm no newb to modding video cards (mounted a P3 heatsink to my last Ti4600, so I have the courage :p ), but I haven't tinkered with these yet and was wondering if there were any pointers one could offer to save me any heartache I might encounter.

Er........ Domal, somehow, that link actually redirects to google.

Stoopid: I recommend seeing how far the card can go without any modifications first, saves you damaging anything, just use RageTweak to alter the clockspeeds.

    wow how odd ;);)

But ya just increase the core n memory speed by 5 until something screws up then lower it by 1 until it's stable. Rage 3d is a pretty easy program to use. No guides needed.

Well, thanks for the ragetweak recomemndation... and I was thinking more about hard mods, I'm thoroughly versed in overclocking the thing thereafter :p

Good review, but only goes into the actual software overclocking... looking for hardware mod stuff :(

This advice was VERY sound :)

I got her running 375/340 artifact free with rage tweaker, any higher and I got minor artifacting but she runs near 400 core!

    Thanks again, another happy overclock.
