I need to get this 1800+ faster. its a Palmino, agoia core. Mobo= 8kha+. memory - 2x256 samsung pc2100.
Im not wanting to unlock my cpu, how far do you think I can get with my FSB? What should I set my memory timings too?
My case/cpu is cool, very cool. so cooling is not a problem.
suggestions?

Basically keep pushing your FSB up until things start crashing then go back down a bit.
Use Prime95 to test the processor and use 3DMark2001 to test the rest of the system.

FOR THE LAST TIME! Mother Boards DO FRICKING NOT "Unlock" AMD CPU's. The TBred core was FACTORY unlock, meaning the Bridges where connected FROM THE FACTORY. The Palaminos are factory LOCKED, meaning they have the bridges CUT OUT as to LOCK the MULTIPILER.
I hope this clears THAT up for the LAST TIME.
grrrrrrr that really irkes me!
Better get the facts straight before pulling those posts off buddy.
The 2 Tbred´s i used in a KR7a wasn't unlocked at all. The new A64 or FX chips are locked and is either unlocked by the NF3 or the KT800 boards. You are correct that the Palo's are locked though.
And for the record (not that is matters jack), you said: "Mother Boards DO FRICKING NOT "Unlock" AMD CPU's"
Gravite,
With that memory, don't expect much more than 150 fsb on a unlocked cpu at any timings. If i where you, i would invest in a new XP 2000 thorton ($50-60) and a 512mb stick of quality ram.
With a small mod on the cpu, you will have a fully functioning Barton that does 2 ghz at default voltage at basically no cost at all. That quality stick of ram would also get you to or around 200 fsb at tight timings. What i'm saying is, don't bother with your current setup as it isn't worth the effort in my opinion.
Your motherboard will OC to ~160mhz. Your PC2100 (DDR266 /133mhz) is another story. Some quality PC2100 could run as higher as DDR333 (166mhz) but if you have generic PC2100 you might make it to 150mhz and you might not. Also most mobos will OC better with ONE stick of ram than will two.
1800+ (11.5x) FSB160 = 1840mhz <- certainly possible with a quality heatsink/memory
edit:
Temps on load after an hour are at 42c. AS5+slk get better every day. Thats with all my fans running extremely low rpm.
I highly recommend you unlock it, becuase even if you had great RAM, which you don't, you can't expect much of an FSB increase. Mine crapped out well before I hit the 166 mhz my RAM is capable of.
Mine runs stable up to about 1720mhz. Right now I'm running it at 12.5x133=1666 (2000+ speed) so that my RAID card doesn't freak out. Still, mine came at 1400mhz, so I'm happy with a 266mhz increase. I could probably run it at default voltage, but to be safe, I run it at +.25vcore.
Only the nForce2 is capable of tricking the chip's 5 bit Frequency Identification into believing that the bridges are closed. Otherwise, if you have multiplier control, your chip is unlocked.
That's all there is to it.
Just order a XP 2000 dammit and you´ll get one.
No joke? Everyone's telling me that the 2000's at Newegg are TBred-A core...
