I have played it for a week on PS2 now and dear god, it's amazing. At first, i was not happy with the graphics and i thought it look the same as Tricky but after a while, it juts got better and better. I'm still on Peak 2 though :/ Tough game if you are after the records.

How much better is it than Tricky? I own Tricky for the XBox and was wondering if I should go trade it in at EB for SSX3.

Just trade it bro. Half an hour of freeride without a single load on SSX3. Can't beat that with a stick.

I think its a lot better than Tricky. I only liked the Garabaldi course in Tricky. ALL the courses in SSX3 are schweet. There are a lot of major big air jumps in all of the courses. You can do tricks like backspins on your board while grinding rails. The graphics are georgeous. You could go down the same course 1000 times and not take the same route twice.

Plus Tricky was so much like ssx1 it merely felt like a mod to ssx1. same courses just beefed up a little. SSX3's courses are all new. And the developers did a great job of making them flow. For example. You can fly off a 500 foot drop doing uber tricks the whole way down and land on a long rail and transition to doing uber tricks while grinding the rail and at the end of the rail is a launch that throws you into another 500 foot drop. Thats 1 continuois trick consisting of lots of other tricks just transitioned into 1. OMFG what fun, in fact Im off to play some more now. L8z

yo Mackanz, I find its easier to beat the peak 2 and 3 courses if you have your character's attributes maxed. If you keep getting silver and gold medals in events you already beat you still get cash. If you get enough cash you can max your characters attributes early. Then peak 2 and 3 should be a little easier.
