Cut up any good cases lately?

Now that it's Summer and the days are long and the nights are warm enough to paint, I'm thinking about modding another case, not that I need one. But It's just too fun. Haven't seen anyone bragging lately so I was wondering if anybody else has the bug?

Right now I don't. Once I get me a good case to mod I will break out the modding skills and she what I can come up with. I'm looking to build a all linux box out of some spare parts, and gonna see what kind of dremel design I can come up with.

I just bought a Lian Li PC71, and there is no way I'm cutting that one up for a loooooong time. With the exception of removing the fan grills on the back that I did before I even set it up.

I was thinking more along the lines of giving new life to an orphan case. You know - junker to hotrod. I was even thinking of taking an old case with the one piece shell (both sides and top) and cutting it so it opens gull-wing style. Perhaps a Mercedes ornament for a front fan grill. (just thinking in print there!) I just feel the need to severely change something.

I get those feelings a lot myself. I am thinking of going to some pawn shops around town to see if I can find some old pc's with some pretty good cases to totally re-design. Do something really cool like they do the custom motor cycles now kind of.
